Road Safety
WPS specialises in all aspects of road safety management. Our road safety team has extensive experience in both the NSW Safer Roads and the Federal Black Spot programs, in addition to road safety management services such as Road Safety Audits.
In 2020 we developed and submitted funding applications for nearly 100 projects with a combined value of $75m. Our experienced road safety team has a high success rate in securing funding for our local government and state government clients for the projects we nominate and manage.
WPS is experienced in all aspects of program management – from identifying road safety improvements, to developing and submitting grant and other funding applications through to the delivery of road safety projects and ongoing management of road safety programs.
Our team possess a clear and demonstrable understanding of the NSW Safer Roads program guidelines and the Safe Systems approach to road design. In particular, the movement toward the development of route-based project proposals in a rural environment, and assigning treatments based on the Movement and Place Framework in an urban environment.
Our key road safety staff have extensive experience in the use of the NSW Safer Roads portal to prepare project submissions and manage projects from initial development to post completion.
